Big Walk is a cooperative multiplayer adventure where your only real job is to walk a very long way with friends — and talk while you do it. It comes from House House, the Melbourne studio behind Untitled Goose Game, and is published by Panic.

The short version
Your group of 2 to 12 players arrives on a shared island inspired by Australia's Wilsons Promontory National Park. There is no quest log, no combat, and no HUD telling you where to go. There is a route — from the starting camp, across a drawbridge, past colored towers, to whatever waits at the summit — and the game expects you to find it by looking, listening, and talking it out.
What you actually do
Walk. Talk. Solve.
- Walk — the island is one continuous open space. No loading screens between areas; the route is physical, and short cuts only appear when you find them.
- Talk — voice chat is built into the world. Voices fade with distance, echo in enclosed spaces, muffle behind walls, and crackle through walkie-talkies. Being heard is a game mechanic.
- Solve — puzzles scale to your party size. A two-person crew gets a different puzzle than a twelve-person circus, and neither is easier.
What it's not
- Not a survival game — nobody starves, and the walk never punishes you for taking the scenic route.
- Not a shooter or action game — there's nothing to fight.
- Not a lobby game — sessions are built around finishing the walk with the same group, start to finish.
Why it works
Big Walk was designed to make conversation happen. The studio's words, not ours: it's a "walker-talker" — a game about a long walk with people you like. The pacing, the proximity audio, and the shared landmarks all exist to keep your group talking. If you've ever wished a game had more space to just chat while playing, this is that game.
Where to get it
Big Walk released on August 4, 2026 for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), Mac, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, and was included in PlayStation Plus the month of launch. Within its first week it passed one million copies sold and held a "Very Positive" Steam rating.
