Because Big Walk is a "walk-and-talk" co-op, the entire party moves together as one unit on a single shared screen. That's the point of the game — you're never apart, so there is nothing to split the screen for.

Why there's no split screen

  • You travel together. The camera follows the group, not individual players. There's no "I go left, you go right" split — you're meant to walk as one.
  • It's online-only co-op. Sessions are hosted by one player and joined over the network. There is no local, same-console multiplayer at all.
  • Shared view, shared puzzles. Puzzles scale to the group and everyone sees the same layout, so split perspective would break the design.

Questions & answers

Does Big Walk have split screen?

No. Big Walk has no split-screen or couch co-op mode. Each player needs their own copy of the game, and everyone plays together online in the same session.

Is Big Walk local multiplayer on the same screen?

Big Walk uses a single shared screen for the whole group's adventure, but it is not a local mode — it's an online session. All players see the same camera and travel together, connected over the network.

Can I play Big Walk with friends on one console?

Not on one console. Every player joins from their own device over the internet using a join code or friends list. There is no split-screen, local play, or shared-controller option.

Why doesn't Big Walk need split screen?

Because it's a walk-and-talk co-op: the whole party travels together on one shared screen, so there's nothing to split. Split screen exists for games where players explore separately; Big Walk is built around staying together.
