Big Walk's island is one continuous open world, styled and scaled after Australia's Wilsons Promontory National Park — the southernmost tip of the Australian mainland. There are no loading screens between areas: the route is physical, and the landmarks stay put.

The landmark set
| Landmark | What it is |
|---|---|
| Camp | Your starting anchor and mental home base |
| Red drawbridge | The first hard gate, keyed by four figures |
| Blue doorway / Map Room | Locked until the red tower is done |
| Red tower | First tower, five red collectibles |
| Green tower | Second tower, easier commitment |
| Yellow tower | Hardest tower |
| The summit | The route's end (details pending) |
How the world teaches you its layout
- Sight lines matter. Towers are visible from each other, and the game uses line-of-sight the way a national park uses peaks — see it, walk to it.
- Audio marks routes. Water usually marks a route, echoes mark enclosed spaces, and gear sounds mark mechanisms.
- Colour is a language. Red, green, and yellow objects exist in the world before their towers do — the island is a walking museum of its own puzzle logic.
Getting around
Navigation is by landmark, not minimap. The practical toolkit:
- Keep the towers as your compass (they're visible from most of the map).
- Use the Map Room overview when planning a leg.
- Mark camp as home and return to it as a group between objectives.
The island is also worth walking just to walk — that's rather the point.
